Racing Classes

Handicap races are held for "fast", "medium" and "slow" handicaps.  These are open to any dinghy or catamaran, although it is recommended to sail in one of the current club classes.  These are:

Primary classes

Fast Handicap (Portsmouth Number <1000):  ISO    RS400   RS600

Medium Handicap (Portsmouth Number 1000 - 1174):  RS200   Laser

Slow Handicap (Portsmouth Number >1174):   Topaz   Topper

Alternative classes

Fast Handicap (Portsmouth Number <1000):  505

Medium Handicap (Portsmouth Number 1000 - 1174):  GP14

Slow Handicap (Portsmouth Number >1174):   Mirror

 

Race Support 

 
The club has two Quicksilver inflatables used for training and  club racing Jubilee 2, a rigid hulled boat with planning capability.
